I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and clinical supervisor. My approach to working with any client(s) is to offer a space for them to share their story in a way that is authentic, honest and individualized. Through this sharing, we collaborate to find reliable pathways to change that mirror the clients values, beliefs and personality.
No client is alike and my approach to therapy celebrates this.
I received my Master's degree from North Carolina Central University. I have over 12 years experience working with clients who are seeking help in their relationships, sexual intimacy, and grief. My approach is narrative in nature and tunes into the authentic needs and strengths of each client.
My career began with the Duke Cancer Institute providing support during a cancer diagnosis and treatment experience in the form of individual, family, couples and group counseling. I have worked within hospital, outpatient clinic and private practice settings.
My work in the community has allowed for continued growth in my passion and skills within counseling.
